Please join us for the presentation of AWB-Oregon's entry to the UNESCO competition for a design to reconstruct and rehabilitate the Al Nouri Grand Mosque Complex of Mosul, Iraq, severely damaged in 2017 by ISIS terrorists. The competition called for an environmentally conscious plan to conserve and rebuild historic structures, including the Al Nouri Prayer Hall, and integrate these with new community buildings dedicated to educational, social and cultural activities. In addition to presenting their entry, the AWB team will also look at a few of the winning entries and respond to comments and questions.
